Hai Wang, the four-seat fishing room

Hai Wang was the headline game on the old joker123.credit home page, listed as "Hai Wang 2" in the Hottest Game banner. The name is Chinese for Sea King, and it's the one fishing room in this set built for four players instead of six, with a cannon in each corner of the screen.

Four corners, four boxes

Each corner has a player box with a short ID and a balance (blurred in our pictures), a cannon with the shot price on its dial, and on your own seat a green minus and plus to change it. In the shots on this page the bottom-left cannon, the one used for testing, sits at 0.10 while the others run at 0.30 up to 2.00. The cannons look like brass diving helmets, and each fish that goes down drops a floating number showing what it paid.

The tank changes scenery between rounds. One set of our screenshots is a carved stone chamber, the other a purple crystal cave full of lobsters, octopus and lionfish.

The fish odds screen

The first row pays 2 to 9 times the bet: a small green fish, clownfish, angelfish, puffer, lionfish, a yellow fish, lobster and swordfish. The second row runs 10, 12, 15, 18 and 20, and three fish marked with a small tag pay 10 to 30. The bottom row is where the big numbers are: a shark at 20 to 60, a killer whale at 30 to 100, a mechanical fish at 100, the golden dragon at 100 to 500, and four special creatures (anglerfish, crab, crocodile, octopus) also at 100 to 500.

The right-hand column is the weapon menu: Normal Shooting Speed, Accelerate Shooting Speed and Aim for the Target. Faster shooting just spends your bet faster. Aiming locks your fire onto one fish.

Where the old advice falls down

The 2020 text said the game "will not eat your score for no reason" and told you to pick the room whose cannon "loses more". There's no way to see that from your seat, and it isn't how these games work. Results come from the game's own maths, and each shot is its own event. Sticking to a low shot price is the only setting you control that matters.
